LECTURES
Physical Class:
Week 11:
After giving us the final feedback for our Task 3, Mr Vinod split us into
pairs for the final special task. We had to choose whether we wanted to design
stickers or ang pau. I chose ang pau and was paired up with Nabilah and Fion.
We had 3 members due to odd numbers in the class.
Week 12:
Due to the election, we did not have class on Friday. However, Mr Vinod gave
us his feedback on our designs through online meeting, Zoom.
Week 13:
This was our due week. There was no physical class due to personal reasons
stated by Mr Vinod.

SPECIAL TASK: ANG PAU
Drafting Process
Week 11
Since the upcoming year would be the year of rabbit, it makes sense for the
theme to be "Togetherness". I wanted a design that symbolises togetherness in
forms of rabbit. I started to think about what brings family together during
Chinese New Year and dim sum was a staple of togetherness. So I made a bunny
bao in a dim sum plate. Another idea I had was a bunch of bunnies gathering to
eat food that was prepared in the middle.

Week 12
After consultation, my group wanted to combine our designs together. Using
Mr Vinod's feedback on my design, I added an additional carrot to
symbolise what the rabbits would love to eat as well as making the bodies
of the bunny to be more rounder.
During final compilation of our design, some of us were not happy with the
outcome. We originally did not like the ideas of the stools at the side of
the table, the bunnies were hard to see due to contradicting colours and
the four bunnies were placed oddly.

Final Design
After several amendments, the final design looks much better compared to
the draft. I removed the stools, and made the bunnies more visible
looking. I scattered the coins to make it more like it was dangling or
floating like bubbles.

Week 12
REFLECTIONS
Experience
I found it hard to work with a lot of people, especially when most of our ideas were quite good. I found it hard to say that the design looks bad and needs modification as I was afraid of hurting someone else's feelings. If we were to not use their design, it would mean that they were bad, when in reality, it was hard to incorporate their design to our existing ones even though their design were actually good.
Observations
People are very selfish beings as one of my members did not want us to use one of her designs because she wanted to do a personal submission even though we were asked to do it in pairs. I felt like it was a bit selfish of her to do her own personal submission as all of us could have done that, but we decided to submit it as a team. However, it was something that does not bother me to the extend where I would submit my own personal design since this was supposed to be a fun project.
Findings
When working with a group of 3 or more on a design, it will be hard to incorporate all of our ideas into a design. It is easier to work it as a pair and have people giving criticism and both of us would brainstorm to redesign.
